Ruby Motel - Long Beach

Good hotel with free wi-fi, tv, and 24-hour reception. The staff gave great travel tips on my first stay, and I appreciate their helpfulness.

exceptionally comfortable beds, room was impeccably clean. the location was particularly good and perfect, for example, downtown long beach was not too far from the hotel. the staff were helpful and very very helpful and we really enjoyed them all.

It was the best of Long Beach hotels I visited before now...

It was just an optimal selection for a cursory stop in Long Beach with value for price. The interaction with the staff was surprisingly friendly despite the area being a bit rough.

I loved how close the Museum of Latin American Art and Signal Hill Park were. I got to walk through these vibrant areas and enjoy the local vibe.

Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff were cute, particularly the cheerful owner who made a point to ask about our sleep and wished us well. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, perfect for a budget stay, but the room felt smaller than expected for two. The location, while affordable, had some unsavory characters nearby, which affected our sense of security during the night.

Super friendly staff!

We stayed for 6 nights and it was pretty chill. The manager was super nice and even gave us a discount for staying longer! Plus, she was great with our dog. The place felt safe and secure, but the area outside got kinda sketchy at night. The dining options weren't bad either, decent breakfast for a quick bite.

I had a surprisingly pleasant stay. the check-in was quick, the room was clean, and it was so quiet at night! The only downside was the tight parking.

Parking is a nightmare. With only about ten spots available on a first-come, first-served basis-good luck finding a space after checking in. I encountered some uncomfortable elements like burn holes in the bedding, quite off-putting. Plus, the overhead light in my room flickered and died shortly after entering.

Couple seeking a chill stay

Check in was quick and the lady at the front desk was super nice asked about our sleep and wished us a nice day. Ain't much happening around the hotel which was perfect for us, just pure quietness and good vibes all around.

The location seemed convenient, close to several attractions and food options, which I appreciated. The room I booked was a King Room, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable, giving me one of the best sleeps I've had in a while. The pillows felt fluffy and relaxing. I did face some challenges with parking. The lot is quite small, and it operates on a first-come, first-served basis, frustrating. After finding a spot, I learned about a $50 cash deposit that I wasn't aware of, so I had to make a quick ATM run and ended up losing my parking spot in the process. I noticed burn holes in the bedding, which wasn't appealing. The lighting in the room also had issues. It flickered after I entered. I hoped for a bit more cleanliness and upkeep. The pleasant staff was good, but the facility needs some attention.

Great location! Just a stone's throw away from downtown and the cool Pine Avenue spots with restaurants and bars. Plus, Rainbow Lagoon Park, a big attraction, is just 2 miles from here! 🌈
